Founding Partners

ChambanaSeniors.com was a true community effort, but much of the credit for advancing this ground-breaking online magazine — once just an idea, now a reality — belongs to our founding partners, Clark Lindsey and the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois.

Community Foundation of East Central Illinois

The Community Foundation of East Central Illinois’ vision is to raise the quality of life throughout east central Illinois. A leader in promoting philanthropy in an impartial, unbiased, ethical way, with a commitment to inclusiveness, the Community Foundation brings together people and resources to identify and address present and emerging community needs.

Community Foundation of East Central Illinois

In 2018, the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois assisted more than 400 community non-profits and organizations, distributing $18 million with $27 million in assets under management.

Clark-Lindsey

For 40 years, Clark-Lindsey has been East Central Illinois’ premier retirement community for today’s accomplished adults. Situated on 28 acres bordering Urbana’s Meadowbrook Park, Clark-Lindsey is a not-for-profit life plan community, or continuing care retirement community, located on the edge of the University of Illinois campus.

Its mission is to engage the mind, spirit, and body in wellness and community so that older adults may thrive.

A non-profit, Clark-Lindsey has served the local community for decades and this passion is shared by its employees and residents. Employees and residents participate in and lead Clark-Lindsey programs that allow us to give back to our surrounding communities. Examples of these programs are Ethel and Maud’s table, CLVolunteers, Intern Program, and Nursing Assistant Training Program.
