The University of Illinois is offering a free online course to foster a greater understanding of various facets of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The course, offering from 8-9 p.m. on Sunday nights during the fall semester, will guide attendees through past, present and future perspectives on the pandemic, with topics that change every week. It was created by provost Andreas Cangellaris and other campus leaders.
Among the topics covered: history of pandemics, diagnostic technologies, COVID-19 and the election, mental health; arts in a pandemic, global impact, food security, financial consequences and more. It begins Sept. 6 and runs through Dec. 13. There is no credit offered.
